The Publications Division is responsible for managing the Agency’s overall brand and ensuring accurate information is delivered to the public and press in a timely manner. Publications also produces and distributes official state publications, such as the Official Statistical Register of the State of Mississippi, more commonly known as the Blue Book. Additional publications include the General Laws, Local & Private Laws, House and Senate Journals, and the Judiciary Directory. The division also oversees the Agency, Boards, and Commission database.

The External Affairs Division develops partnerships with business development entities in the state to facilitate economic growth and connects the resources of the agency to new and existing Mississippi businesses through programs like the Welcome to Business webinars. The division also engages Mississippi students and educators through the annual Promote the Vote program and newly created Student Ambassador program and CEU Program for Educators.
