The following information should be included and gathered on your sales ticket to comply with the signature and disclosure requirements of the Mississippi Scrap Metal Property Dealer Registration Act:

1. The date of sale

2. The Seller or Delivery Person’s printed name AND signature

3. A notice to the Seller or Delivery Person that it is unlawful to give a false statement of ownership of the metal property being sold, or to give a false or altered identification or car tag number, in connection with the sale

4. A notice to the Seller or Delivery Person that by signing the sales ticket, the Seller or Delivery Person affirms he rightfully owns the metal property or is entitled to sell it

5. If HVAC equipment is being sold, a confirmation and notation that Seller is a licensed HVAC contractor or business.

If you do not want to include this information on the sales tickets you retain, the Daily Signature Sheet created by the Mississippi Secretary of State meets all the signature and disclosure requirements of the Mississippi Scrap Metal Property Dealer Registration Act.
