MISSISSIPPI VOTER ID - EASY & FREE
Any one of the following types of photo IDs may be used on Election Day:
- A valid Mississippi driver’s license (includes Mississippi Mobile ID, issued by Department of Public Safety])
- A valid identification card issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the State of Mississippi;
- A valid United States passport
- A valid employee photo identification card issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the United States government, the State of Mississippi, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of this state
- A current and valid Mississippi license to carry a pistol or revolver, containing a photo of the voter
- A valid tribal photo identification card
- A valid United States military photo identification card
- A current and valid student photo identification card, issued by any accredited college, university or community or junior college in the State of Mississippi
- An official Mississippi Voter Identification Card
- Any current and valid photo ID not listed above issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the United States government any other state government
Valid means an official government document that establishes the voter’s identity and has no expiration date or has an issuance date not more than ten (10) years prior to the date the document is presented.
Current and valid means an official government document that establishes the voter’s identity and is not expired as of the date the document is presented. See Miss. Attorney General Opinion, In re: Hon. Joseph M. Seymour, dated Oct. 7, 2024.
What if I don't have any of these forms of photo ID?
