Secretary Michael Watson Joins National Association of Secretaries of State in #TrustedInfo2024 Initiative
JACKSON, Miss. – In conjunction with the Elections 101 voter education campaign, Secretary of State Michael Watson joins the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) in the association's relaunch of the initiative #TrustedInfo2024.
This effort continues to highlight election officials as the trusted sources for election information, which is critical in the age of mis-, dis-, and mal-information campaigns.
"With overwhelming and overstimulating information at our fingertips, it is imperative Mississippians lean on our office as a source of accurate and trusted information. I'm proud to join the efforts of my fellow NASS members across the country and encourage citizens to reach out to our office or local election officials with questions or concerns," said Secretary Michael Watson.
NASS’s nonpartisan #TrustedInfo2024 effort directs voters to election officials’ websites, social media pages, and other public facing materials for information on each step of the election process—from registration, voting, to post-election procedures.
All Mississippians are encouraged to utilize the Secretary of State's Yall Vote webpage for valuable elections information, resources, and tools. To follow the #TrustedInfo2024 campaign or for up-to-date information, like and follow the Secretary of State's Facebook page and X (formerly known as Twitter) page.
