Uniform Power of Attorney Act

Will consider the need for the Uniform Power of Attorney Act in Mississippi. Adopted by the Uniform Law Commission in 2006, the Uniform Power of Attorney Act updates the Uniform Durable Power of Attorney Act, on which Mississippi's existing law is based. The Uniform Power of Attorney Act has been adopted in 13 states and has been endorsed by the American Bar Association and AARP.
