The Secretary of State’s Office hosted a series of eight Public Hearings during August and September to give Mississippians the opportunity​ to express their opinions regarding the Initiative measures to be decided in the November 3, 2015 General Election. Approximately 1,600 Mississippians attended the hearings with more than 100 individuals speaking either in support of, or against, Initiative Measure #42 and/or Alternative Measure #42A.
